Tracking Politicians with Google Maps

Brighton Pavilion Canvassing Map

Sadly the compulsory electronic tagging of politicians has not yet been introduced. However The Argus newspaper has effectively solved this problem by crowd sourcing the whereabouts of electoral candidates in Brighton Pavilion.

In the UK a national election is fast approaching. The local newspaper for Brighton has decided to use Google Maps to track the movements of the three main candidates. The newspaper's readers can log where they have seen the electoral candidates and, if they spoke, what they said.

The colour of the map markers on the map reflects the colours of the three political parties.

I still think electronic tagging would be more effective.
